An appointment at midday hangs over them – she’s booked in and nobody knows. But as the time draws closer to leave, Jean begins to doubt... It’s sink or swim. ABOUTSet in late 1960s Melbourne, Australia, HAROLD HOLT IS DEAD is about Jean a young woman booked in for an illegal abortion. It is implied she is having an affair, and that her lover Tom has convinced her and arranged for the operation.
